News from Governor Scott

Governor Scott Goes 3 for 3
on His Top Priorities

-Job Creation Package, $1B for Education, lower cost of living-

Last week was a great victory for all Floridians. The Florida House and Senate passed all three of my top priorities. They include: adding $1 billion to the education budget, passing my 2012 job creation and economic development package and reforming auto accident insurance to prevent fraud. I would like to thank everyone involved in helping achieve these goals.

These three legislative priorities will positively affect Floridians by keeping the cost of living low in our state, ensuring Florida’s students can get a quality education, and putting more families back to work. It is important we continue this momentum.

I invite you to visit the links below to find out more about what we are doing to make Florida the best state in the nation to live.

Congratulations to Shauna Doan for recieving the President's Award from the South Broward Association

On March 15, the South Broward Bar Association installed its new President, Douglas Harrison.  Past President Anita Paoli was honored with the President's Award, as was Shauna Doan, Legal Assistant to John Primeau, immediate Past President.  The President's Award goes to outstanding members and we are especially proud of Shauna for recieving such a prestigous award.

The SBBA is a voluntary bar association formed in 2008 and concentrated in South Broward. The SBBA holds monthly luncheon meetings at The Ark Restaurant (Ballroom) located at 6255 Stirling Rd. in Davie, FL on the first Thursday of every month at 12:00 p.m.  The cost of each luncheon is $20.00 for members ($30.00 for non-members). At each luncheon, you are afforded the opportunity to introduce yourself and discuss your area of practice, meet judges in an informal setting, and network with numerous local attorneys.  We have a local judge or legal dignitary speak at our luncheons, so CLE credits can be earned by attendees at no additional cost.
If you have any questions, please, do not hesitate to contact me at (954) 825-7071 or via email or contact our Immediate Past President, John Primeau at (954) 921-2001 via email.
I hope to see you at one of our future events.
